Delete Account & Data

Last updated: June 2026

This page explains how to delete your Urge account and associated personal data, what data is removed, what is retained and why, and how long the process takes. This page is publicly accessible — no login is required to read it or to submit a deletion request by email.

1. Delete in the app (recommended)

If you have access to your account, the fastest way to delete it is directly inside the app:

  1. Open Urge on your device.
  2. Go to Settings (the gear icon in the top-right).
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the disclosure and choose one of two options:
    • Delete in 30 days (default). Your account is immediately deactivated and hidden from other users. After 30 days with no sign-in, it is permanently erased. During this window you can cancel by simply signing back in.
    • Delete immediately. Your account and personal data are permanently erased without a recovery window.

Both options are built into the current version of the app and require no further action from you once confirmed.

2. Request deletion by email (if you cannot access the app)

If you have lost access to your account or are otherwise unable to complete deletion in the app, email us at privacy@urge18.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include:

We will verify your identity against our records and process the deletion. We aim to respond and complete erasure within 30 days of a verified request, in line with GDPR Article 17. If we need additional information to verify your identity, we will contact you within 7 days.

Email requests are handled by OVDEVEL LLC's privacy team. You will receive a confirmation once erasure is complete.

3. What is deleted

Upon account deletion (in-app or by request), the following personal data is permanently erased:

Profile photos stored in our cloud storage are deleted as part of the same erasure job that purges the account record.

4. What is retained and why

A small category of records are retained after account deletion where the law requires or permits it. These are the only exceptions:

No personal data is sold. Special-category data (such as sexual orientation, which you may have included in your profile) is deleted with your account and is never used for advertising.

6. Cancelling a pending deletion

If you used the default 30-day soft-delete and change your mind, sign back in to your account before the 30-day window expires. This cancels the deletion and restores your account. After 30 days the deletion is irreversible.

7. Right to erasure and other privacy rights

The right to delete your account and data is part of your broader right to erasure under GDPR Article 17 and equivalent Georgian law. You also have rights to access, correct, port, and restrict the processing of your data. To exercise any right, contact privacy@urge18.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Georgia: the competent supervisory authority under the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection; in the EU/EEA: your national data-protection authority).

For full details of how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
